		<description><![CDATA[The weeds have finally been cleared and most of the Cascade hop shoots are up.  The earliest ones were picked for the Toronado Belgian Beer Dinner in SF last week.  The Chinooks, as usual, haven&#8217;t yet made it above ground.  I can relate to their later schedule.

		<description><![CDATA[As the Old Combine runs out, the next special beer will be an un-hopped ale flavored with Redwood tips.  Those are the fresh year&#8217;s growth tips from Redwood trees.  A few were harvested in Mendocino COunty, but most were harvested here at the brewery.

I have been hounded by enough people that I will again make a batch of Old Combine (4-Grain) Lager soon.  I now have all the grains here at the brewery and it should be released sometime in February.
